Magic of the Spheres Podcast: The Householder Path
I am so grateful to Sabrina Monarch for having me on the Magic of the Spheres podcast. Sabrina is a forward-thinking and intensely creative spiritual practitioner and astrologer. Her podcast has exposed me to powerful new perspectives — Sabrina’s own as well as those of her guests — so I’m truly honored she had me on.
Sabrina asked me about my multiple lineages and the concept of lineage in general, the definition of “householder” and all ways that identity underlies my work, who householders are, how householding is inextricable from community and requires flourishing diversity, Ma’alot and the in-person community work my wife, Ariel, does and how that interrelates with the online community work I’m doing on Base. We also spoke a little bit about my astrology practice and how that and Householders membership interact to support me and my family.
It was a very honest and inspiring conversation. Sabrina allowed me to open up about a lot of the feelings I’ve had doing this work and making these moves, which I’m not exactly guarded about, but it’s just an aspect of being online and making Spirituality Stuff that I don’t get asked about a lot. Sabrina did ask, and I am grateful that the outcome of this conversation was such an authentic and personal document of where I’m at these days, both with this project and in my life in general.
