Purim As Holiest Day of the Year

My favorite teaching about Purim is that it is the temporal and spiritual antipode of (Yom ha’Ki)purim, a.k.a. Yom Kippur.

On Yom Kippur, we strip ourselves of all materiality and expose ourselves to the Divine. The holiest day of the year. 🐐

On Purim, we cloak ourselves in intoxicating mystery and disguise ourselves in the Divine. The holiest day of the year. 🎭
