Look at the Sky!

Light pollution is a spiritual atrocity. Injustice in access to wilderness is spiritual violence.

But there is still so much life to be seen just in the sky above the street you live on!

I live in a large American city with 40%-above-average light pollution. I see planets every night.

It’s important for me to say this because I frequently encounter people who seem to be using light pollution as an excuse to keep doing chart-only virtual reality astrology. But understand: I’m talking about looking at the sky when it’s CLOUDY. THE SKY. Everyone everywhere has it.

That’s the whole point.

That’s the whole radical value of astrology.

The sky is the only planetary sacred text.

We can only read it if we ALL look up! EVERYWHERE!

But think about the power of that, once we do.

Consider THE SUN. Do you realize how much astrology you can do JUST by observing where the Sun and Moon are and knowing how directions work?

Oh it’s cloudy and you can’t see anything tonight?

ISN’T THAT AN INTERESTING OMEN

Does your astrology app give you that information?

The sky is a force for EQUALITY.

Every single human being shares it.

And yet it looks different EVERYWHERE. Every DAY.

This is precisely why we all need to look up — and share what we see — so that it can bring us together.
