The Bulwark
You know, one great way to stop grift is to commoditize the basics so the next generation grows up with them.
In the meditation world where I come from, grifters are competing with free, essentially, they just have to weaponize people’s hesitation to do “community” and “culture” stuff (eww, am I right).
The astrology world isn’t like this, so it’s been interesting to note differences.
The first waves of digital astrologers saw the rush coming and pivoted from pure consults, with their crashing commodity prices, into lucrative classes. Now there are 14 trillion astrologers. ASTROLOGERS got commoditized, rather than raising the cultural bar for customers.
These ecosystems look a little different, but I feel like the solution is the same: an artistic, literary, academic, and journalistic cultural bulwark to promote a possible future in which people grow up with these things and know what they need and want from them.
