If You Say So

It feels like time to restate something I haven’t said in a while:

I am ALL ABOUT sharing weird spiritual experiences on the internet with one another — even highly idiosyncratic ones — but I’m NOT into treating them as ACHIEVEMENTS, or comparing oneself to others on that score.

My basic attitude about your weird experiences is, “If you say so, I believe you,” but if you then say, “And therefore I Know Something” or “And therefore I am Special,” I am bored now.

There really is no sense of “spiritual attainment” that matters to me that does not include the charity, kindness, and curiosity it requires to just let people be who they are and chill with one another without preaching.

If you be like that at me, I’m gonna go.
