Hierarchy of Needs for Spiritual Powers

I need the magical ability to get up in the morning with a smile on my face, get my wife and children where they need to go, and do enough productive activity to make it to the next day. It might be worth investing some moments of downtime into practicing reading minds and predicting the future, since those could help with the former. I’ll work on flying and invisibility if I win the lottery or something.

Relatedly, I think I’m done buying outrageously expensive enchanted candles from convert practitioners of magical traditions that I probably would have been excommunicated for dabbling in if I had been born like six generations earlier. I have more immediate needs than that and better places to apply my resources, and I’m sure addressing these needs lower down the hierarchy will yield better magical results.
