Difference Is Life

My sense is that the most life-giving form of conversation is that which draws attention to the fullness of experience from different perspectives.

Much conversation seems to be comfort-seeking, flattening experience into a safe zone either by reinforcing agreement or by dividing self (real) from other (fake). This energy is expended to keep life from changing, fruitless and deathly though that is.

I try to promote growth — life itself — by creating opportunities to celebrate differences.
