Agriculture and Culture
Agriculture and “culture” are not only inseparable, they are the same.
Culture is what is cultivated.
Not that agriculture is intrinsic to culture. Agricultures are cultures that base their entire societies around control. There’s nothing GIVEN about that. It’s just how some humans roll.
But as we can see everywhere on Earth, there’s a BIG spectrum of cultures of agriculture (i.e. control).
Might f around and start referring to 𝔖𝔲𝔫 ℭ𝔲𝔩𝔱/the hegemon as “monoculture.”
Your homework here is this question: How can any culture whose agricultural strategy is monoculture make any sincere claim to value diversity?
See also: tokenism, fetishism, objectification, basically everything the monoculture inevitably does when it tries to farm diversity industrially.
Diversity is apophatic.
Universalism is fundamentalism.
